RULES

1) You must be a club member prior to this competition.
2) 1 submission per member.
3) Shot must NOT! contain people.
4) Must be HDR or Pseudo DRi.
5) Shot must be taken after competition start date.
6) Have metadata or printscreen of metadata prior to editing.
7) Be on topic.
8) If people do not follow the above rules there entry will be void, READ CAREFULY.

SUMBITING

Submissions are to be sent as a note titled "Solitude Contest", with a link to the deviation.
the devation title is important & please write a small descrition in artist comments.

JUDGING

bia37 & TallJohn + Club Admins will select the best 30 submissions based upon the following criteria, we will not discriminate against the quality of the camera, ive seen many great hdrs come from non slrs, it just requires some extra effort.

1) size of the image @ full-view.
2) originality
3) relation to topic
4) colour/visual balance
5) dynamic range
6) clarity
7) tone & saturations
8) angle & perspective
9) title & description

After they have been selected they will be on display and votes will be collected from CLUB MEMBERS.

You cannot vote on your own work & legitement votes would help keep this competition fair.

The competition will begin: 02/06/08 @ 00:00
No submissions will be accepted after: 22/06/08 @ 23:59

Notes:

1) do not be discouraged if you werent selected we cant accept everyone nor does it mean your work isnt good, we have to select the best of the best of 900 possible member submissions.
2) if all goes smooth it wont be long until the next competition so just practice for that, dont be afraid of crit!
3) resizing images in photoshop so they are viewed on screen correctly @ 100% is a bonus. this means it fits nicely (not too small) on the average monitor in full view, and was that exact size when viewd 100% before its uploaded. By letting DA choose the width it causes clarity loss in the image.
4)Any questions should be directed to the staff in note form with the subject "Contest Question".

Good luck!

Metadata is a set of standardized information about a file, such as author name, resolution, color space, copyright, and keywords applied to it. For example, most digital cameras attach some basic information to an image file, such as height, width, file format, and time the image was taken. ISO , shutter speed, focal length. I hoped I helped you. Have a great day=)
