As everyone seems to like a competition I have decided to set one up. The winner of each competition will receive a feature of their gallery work (or folder of their choosing).

Each photo challenge will have a set theme and run until the closing date stated on the corresponding blog. (and I will post the rules each time also)

The theme is simply a word, you do what you like with it but there must be some kind of link to the theme.

Now the rules.......

1) All images for the challenge are to be submitted to the corresponding submission folder. The images MUST contain either EXIF data or a note from your mum saying its a HDR image along with details of where it was taken. If this isn't on the image it wont be accepted.

2) Images must be taken no earlier than 2 weeks before the challenge (Again EXIF data will show this)

3) Submissions will be accepted up-to and including the closing date but not after.

4) winners will be chosen..... well probably by me until I work out how to use the voting system and announced via this groups blog (With the feature)

5) If you have a query or are unsure of something please message me or the group and i will respond to you as soon as i have a moment.

6) Have some fun........

;)
As software and skills develop it becomes more difficult to distinguish a HDR image from a well laid out shot. I now myself prefer HDR images that do not have the over zealous halo effect or that are very dirty and heavily manipulated.

So a plea to you all..............

It is getting to the point where I am spending 5 minutes or so trying to look for clues in images that it is indeed a HDR shot, my life would be made more simple by making sure you include the EXIF data in your shot. This will then show on your own gallery image what camera was used, the shooting data and the software used to edit the image.

If you cannot guarantee the EXIF data is intact then please add on the comments pane that it is indeed a HDR image (how many shots at what values etc)

This is after all a HDR group, so it stands to reason that only HDR images will be accepted. This (along with submission to the correct group) will guarantee that your image is not rejected.

Thank you
It's not often i do this, as a photographer and hobbyist I respect everybody's work, I admire few and envy even less but once in a while there is a gallery that comes along that is truly breathtaking. if you take the time to read this i would like you to have a look at this page [link] this is a truly fantastic gallery of HDR work by a member of our very group.

Every now and again i think someone needs to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight and for the next few months i will pick a gallery to feature.
Feel free to resubmit your work. Sorry I couldn't get to them in time. I'm going to need some help around here in the near future.
:iconmountainshots: group is holding a contest. The theme is "The loneliness in the mountain" and all information can be found here: [link]
